Romans 4 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.—-16
who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” ——18
And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. —-19
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, —-20
and being fully convinced ( persuaded ) that what He had promised He was also able to perform. Note ️ Our part… Is to do the believing Gods part… is to do the performing
Romans 5
But the free gift is not like the offence. For if by the one man’s offence many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 15 Note ️—- Gods grace is much more… than the effect of Adam’s sin
For if by the one man’s offence death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)———17
Moreover the law entered that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, —-20
so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.——21 Quote Gods work in Christ far exceeds any damage that has been done to us through Adams fall. Romans 6. NKJ knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.——6
Romans 6. NLT We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. —-6 For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.——8 Romans 6. KJV Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.——11 Note The old person you used to be… Has been crucified with Christ Your old sinful self is dead Reckon = see yourself this way /// free Speak in harmony with the salvation that you have
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 12
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 Yield = this is an act of your will You can yield yourself to God… To the Holy Ghost You can yield to the love, joy, peace of God that’s in you Or You can yield to your flesh You can yield to depression… Anger… Selfishness Who you yield to is completely up to you. If you yield to this new life in Christ… Then you will experience what God has for you But If you continue to yield to the flesh… You’re gonna have a lot of trouble in life. Note ️ This includes yielding, your tongue… To God Yield your mouth to God—- replace old ways of talking… With God’s word. Romans 6 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.—14 Sin = Old habits Old behaviour patterns,,,, Old attitudes These old patterns shall not have dominion over you Because now Jesus Christ as your Lord 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Rom 13:14 amp But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts). Romans 6. KJV
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?——16 Your entire Christian walk… Comes down to this…. Who and what are you yielding to This will determine what kind of a Christian experience you have. You can Yield to —- God… and to His Word….. to the Indwelling Holy Spirit — to the fruit of the spirit that is in you You can Yield to— your flesh…. Negative attitudes… depression… anger,,, frustration But you don’t have to——- You can Yield to the life of Christ that is inside of you. Romans 6. NKJ But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. —17 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.—-18 Romans 7 NKJ For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. 14
For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. —15
