Walking with God like Enoch ---- Pt 1 Gen 5:21-24 -- NKJ Enoch lived sixty- five years, and begot Methuselah. vs 21 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. vs 22 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. vs 23 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. vs 24 Note: Enoch started walking with God after Methuselah was born Methuselah = the flood is coming... 969 yr old than flood came verse 22 says... Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. Note: To walk with God means ... = ... agreement with God Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

• Our Priority & Lifestyle
• Fellowship with God in "Spirit & Truth"
• God was his closest companion
• Enoch lived in close communication with God - talking & listening
• He was obedient to God
• Enoch was "more influenced by God" than any other person on the entire planet!!!
• He made all his decisions based on God.... & what he thought.

Seeking God’s Thoughts Isa 55:6-9 Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.—-6

• Seek the Lord = seeking God’s thoughts = reading, studying the Bible �� = God’s word — final authority Let the wicked forsake his way,

And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.——7

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.———8

• God’s thoughts vs man’s thoughts
• Spiritual mind = life & peace
• Carnal mind = separation of God’s ways = separation from God’s blessings “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
• God meant more to Enoch than any other relationship
• Enoch walked with God for 300 years... wow!!!

Walking with God = walking by Faith = Faith in God … & His faithfulness = Faith in God’s Integrity — God does what He says 2 Cor 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight Note: Enoch was known & remembered for his close walk with God. Gen 5:23-24 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty- five years. vs 23 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. vs 24

Note: The beginning of his story records that he walked with God ... & the end of his life story finishes with "Enoch walked with God".

• Too many start walking with God... but the end of their story is ... they walked away from God to follow the lust of their flesh & the lust of their eyes & pride of this life... & ungodly friends.
