But the very first Christmas over 2000 years ago, many people missed God’s gift because they were busy looking for other things.
The only people who enjoyed the first Christmas were those who were looking for it. Luke 2:12, 15 NKJ — Angels said... And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. .... shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see....” vs 15 The shepherds found Jesus because their hearts were open to God
Later on another group —- The Wise Men found Him because they were seeking Him. Matt 2:1-2 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,
saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” Question: What are the people in Cold Lake — and across Canada going to find this Christmas?
Answer: People are going to find exactly what they are looking for. Matt 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Matt 7:7-8 NKJ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. People are only going to find... what they are “seeking” for.
