Offering: 2 Cor 9:6-7 — TLB But remember this--if you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much. Everyone must make up his own mind as to how much he should give. Don't force anyone to give more than he really wants to, for cheerful givers are the ones God prizes. vs 7 — msg I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving. Our Heavenly Calling
Rom 10:14-17 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? —-14
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”—-15
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?” 16
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.—-17 2 Cor 5:17-19 NKJ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. vs 19
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 19 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen——20
God will not use the Angels—- { They cannot preach the Gospel } Acts 10:1-7 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment,
a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. vs 2
About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” vs 3 And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” vs 4 So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God. Now send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter. vs 6
He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do. vs 7 Acts 11:14 who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved. Note Here is a very good man... he has God’s attention... God sends an Angel But the Angel “does not tell him the Good News”——( Angel arranges the meeting ) Why?—— Because Angels do not have that assignment. Angels have the assignment—— to help steer people in the right direction. Acts 8:5-8 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city.
