Galatians 2 Righteousness by faith Galatians 2:16. NLT Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.”——16 Note ️ Everything that Jesus did on the cross… He did for you The Cross was a substitution… He became sin… That we would be made righteous —identification —- in Christ Jesus… The new nature… And a new identity
Our New identification with Christ Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. —-20
I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”—-21 Galatians 3 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”—-11
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), —-13
that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.—-14 The cross —substitution
Sin & spiritual death — 1 Cor 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Heb 2:14 …that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil Sickness & disease — 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. Poverty & lack— 2 Cor 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. Ps 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want ( lack ). Ps 34:9 Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is NO WANT to those who fear Him. Ps 34:10 KJV The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Ps 34:10—-Amp says... The young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord [by right of their need and on the authority of His Word], NONE of them shall LACK any beneficial thing.
Galatians 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, —-4
to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.—5
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” ——6
Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. 7
This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. —-8
A little leaven leavens the whole lump. —-9
I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.—-10
