1. Offering — Matt 6:25-34. KJV Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? —-25 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they? —-26 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? —-27 And why take you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: —-28 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? —-30 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? ——31 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. —-32 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things

shall be added unto you. —-33 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.——34

Offering Song 5) Sermon - We are Not our Own—Part 2

Ps 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

We belong to Christ 1 Cor 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? —-19

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Every part of our lives… “ Belongs to God” We live for Him… not ourselves Romans 14:7-8 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. —-7 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.—-8 God is Owner of All — — We are Stewards for God— 1 Cor 4:1-2 Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

We are not our own—- We belong to Jesus — We are his Church —

We Are Not ALONE—— We Are in God’s Family — Eph 3:14-15 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. Ps 68:6 God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. 1 Cor 12:12-31 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. —-12

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. —-13 For in fact the body is not one member but many.—-14 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? ——15 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? -16 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?—-17

But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.18 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?—-19 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. —-20

And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”——21 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 22 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, —-23 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, —-24

that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.—-25

And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.—-26

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. ——27

And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. ——28 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? —29 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?—-30 But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.—-31
