Tithe = 10 % of all increase
Reasons we Tithe:
- Because Abram ( father of our Faith ) was a tither
- Because the Jacob ( Israel )— practice of tithing — generational
Gen 28:20-22
Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am
going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,
so that I come back to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God.
And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God's house, and of all that You give me
I will surely give a tenth to You.
God is the Owner of all — We are Stewards — This is the mind-set of a Christian
Ps 24:1
The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
Rom 14:7-8
For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. —7
For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord.
Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.—-8
- That there will be Provision in God's House.
Mal 3:10
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the LORD of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.——10
- That we may Learn to Reverence the Lord always.
Deut 14:23 NLT
Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for
his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new
wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds.
Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.

Are You a Disciple?
Matt 4:19
Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Three things:
- Follow me = being a disciple = Lifestyle shaped by God’s word — John 8:31-32
- I will make you = changed life = thru Renewing the mind - Rom 12:1-2
- Fishers of men = discipling others = kingdom builder - Matt 28:18-20

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide ( continue ) in My word,
you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. —-1
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.—-2

The Christian life is one of “constant learning, growth & transformation”
If you stop growing... you’ll start drifting backward.

SINCE ALL this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we
have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away.

It's crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we've heard so that we don't drift off.
The problem:
Some start strong... but get to a certain point where they decide to coast.
They get distracted... no longer time for:
a) God’s Word
b) Prayer
c) Attendance becomes irregular ... & eventually nothing
d) Fellowship—-they are more comfortable with unsaved
than with mature believers
e) Discipling others
Soon the inner fire goes out... and they produce “no fruit”... they end up ruled by their
feelings & carnal pursuits.
They remain in a “baby-like state of existence”—-never really knowing the will of God
God wants us to Grow
1 Pet 2:2 NLT
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full
experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment,
