Ps 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.
We belong to Christ 1 Cor 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? —-19
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Every part of our lives… “ Belongs to God” We live for Him… not ourselves
Romans 14:7-8 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. —-7 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.—-8 God is Owner of All — — We are Stewards for God— 1 Cor 4:1-2 Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.
We are not our own—- We belong to Jesus — We are his Church —
We Are Not ALONE—— We Are in God’s Family — Eph 3:14-15 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. Ps 68:6 God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. 1 Cor 12:13-28 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. —-13
But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.18
Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. ——27
And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. ——28 Now you are the body of Christ—- Ephesians 4 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. —7 Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”——8 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? —-9 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)—-10
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, —11
for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, —12
till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; —13 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 15
from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.—-16 New identity… Put off the old… Put on the new Ephesians 4 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, —22 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, —23 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.—24
