Ps 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.
We belong to Christ 1 Cor 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? —-19
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Every part of our lives… “ Belongs to God” We live for Him… not ourselves Romans 14:7-8 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. —-7 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.—-8 Paul said—- Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Gal 6:14. NLT As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. Mind-set of True Life of Faith —-To Live Is Christ Phil 1:19-26 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, —-19
according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. ——20
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. —-21
But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.
For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. —-22
Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. —-24
And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, —-25
that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again. Point.. You are Not Your Own — You Belong to Jesus Christ Ex: Marriage —- you are not your own anymore Military —- you are no longer your own Family of God—- you live for family … not just yourself The Body of Christ —- you are a member … set in the body … where God pleases Apostle Peter said… 1 Peter 1:17-23 NLT
And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favourites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.” —-17
For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. —-18
It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. —-19
God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.——20
