Book of Romans Nov 26, 2025 Romans 12:1-3 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. —1 1 Peter 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Sacrifices of N.T. Believer... Sacrifice of Praise Heb 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 2) Sacrifice of Offering our Bodies - Rom 12:1 3) Sacrifice of Service--- Phil 2:17 NKJ Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. Phil 2:17 NLT But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. 4) Sacrifice of Giving Phil 4:15-19 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. —15 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 16 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. 17 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.—18 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.—19 5) Sacrifice of Love------ Eph 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. —1 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.—2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.—2 Jos 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall MEDITATE in it DAY and NIGHT, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Note--- The Word must be Rooted deep... Engrafted in our thought-life. Jm 1:21 amp So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.
Rom 13--Amp says ....make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a STOP to THINKING about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts). Prov 4:15 NLT Don’t even think about it; don’t go that way. Turn away and keep moving. Eph 4:22-24 msg Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside --- 23 and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you. 24 Serve God with Spiritual Gifts For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.—-3
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. —-5
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; —-6
or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; —-7
he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.—-8 Behave Like a Christian Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. —-9 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; —-10
not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; —-11 amp translation Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.—11 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; —-12
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. —17
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. —-18 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. —-19 Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”—-20
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.—-21
