1. Our heart is formed in the early years of life; it takes a healthy heart to grow a successful life. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 Jn 2 ( NKJ )

• The environment you are born into affects how you see yourself & life in general. a) A healthy heart produces a healthy life. ( Biblical parenting )
• Healthy relationships
• Healthy body
• Healthy finances and
• Healthy lifestyle. If a child is born into a godly family & Mom & Dad bring him/her up as the scriptures say, …In the nurture & admonition of the Lord ( Eph 6:4 ) then his/her heart will be healthy. Eg. Biblical parenting produces …
• Discipline, self-esteem, vision, able to set goals, delay gratification.
• Unfortunately, most of us didn’t grow up that way.
• We grew up with parents that were struggling themselves. They didn’t know the Word.
• Some of us went to church … but it was religion not bible.
• Maybe there was some physical abuse, verbal abuse, etc.
• Today over 50% of children don’t have both parents at home in their early years. -They don’t grow up in healthy families; therefore, they don’t have a healthy heart.

b) Your heart is a product of your environment ( formed in your early years ) then your environment becomes a product of what is in your heart. Pg 2 Prov 22:6 ( NKJ ) Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. Prov 22:6 ( TNIV ) Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Prov 22:6 ( GNB ) Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life.

• Family – or whoever raised you. Were they governed by the Holy Spirit ?
• School : Biblical world view ( Or ) Secular & humanist world view.
• Religion – living in a Holy Spirit environment or dead religious church.
• Region – where you were raised. ( North America, Africa, Europe, etc )
