Offering —

Gen 28: 20-22

And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me

in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, —20

So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD

be my God:  —21

And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and

of all that you shall give **me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. —**22

*The first mention of tithing in the ***Bible is in Genesis 14

The father of our faith, Abraham ( 430 years before the law )

The practice of tithing continued all the way through the Old Testament

And the practice of tithing continues today in the New Testament.

This does not mean that everyone practises this truth

Just like other parts of the Bible… Many people choose to ignore the Bible

They want to focus on the parts that make them feel good

But if we want to grow up and mature as Christians… Then we receive full gospel

Including the parts of the gospel tells us to give… Give our time… Give our lives…
